Shorts : WAS HE FOR REAL?

It was long since I had shopped. I was itching to go and buy something for myself. I like shopping online but the charm of shopping from a store has a different vibe and feel. You get to spend good 2 hours selecting the best of stuff that pleases your eyes and appeals to you. Then you often try out 10 clothes and buy just one or two!

Usually, my roommate accompanies me since our choices are similar. But incidentally this time she wasn’t there, so I went alone. I reached the mall and headed towards my usual go-to store. While I was walking, I noted a guy across the railing on the other side of the same floor I was on. He was tall, good-looking, and had something peculiar about his face. We were headed in the same direction and were eventually going to cross each other. As we did, I couldn’t help but keep looking back in awe while he kept walking. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that my heart started to beat faster the moment he passed by.

I reached the store and got busy exploring the collection. After shortlisting and selecting some clothes and footwear, I started looking for the trial room hurriedly. While I was frantically running towards it, I crashed into someone and dropped all the stuff in my hand. It looked up, and oh my goodness! I was amazed to discover that the victim of my hastiness was nobody but the same guy my heart had skipped a beat for!

It actually took me a few seconds to gather myself back and then I started apologizing to him. He, instead of yelling at me, was polite and well-mannered. Not only did he help me gather and organize the fallen clothes and other stuff which lay on the floor like there was an earthquake a few minutes back, but he also made sure if I was okay. With my jaw dropped, I could only nod at him. I was staring at him from top to bottom and started admiring his muscular physique, good looks, brown curly hair, and his oh-so-soft voice in my head. I felt like I was daydreaming.

“Gosh, you’re so handsome”, I whispered to myself, I thought. He immediately looked at me the next second. And then I realized I actually said it. I gulped, and then paused “I think I just said that out loud, didn’t I?”
Acknowledging my answer, he gave me a wide grin, “Yeah.” I blushed and walked away.

The icing on the cake — a few days later while taking a walk in my apartment, I spotted him in the premises and eventually got to know that he recently moved to the same apartment!
